Theatre's Influence
2019-2025
|
Theatre has become a safe space for me where I can be fully myself without fear of judgment. When I’m on stage or in rehearsal, I feel understood and accepted, even when I struggle to express my emotions in everyday life. It gives me an outlet to release my feelings through movement, voice, and character, allowing me to say things I might not otherwise have the courage to say. Theatre has helped me step outside my comfort zone and find confidence in my own voice. Each performance reminds me that I deserve to be seen and heard, and that confidence has stayed with me beyond the stage, shaping how I carry myself in my daily life. As an experience, theatre has encouraged me to grow through other lenses as well; emotionally, mentally, and physically. It has trained me to become more confident, considerate, and fearless, regardless of what others have to say. Below is a short trailer that showcases its importance to me and all of the hard work I have put into this pathway through all for 4 years of my high school career. This will be posted in May as I am graduating to full encapsulate my entire journey through High School Theatre. |
